Black Swan

I havn't been this excited about a film for a while. Below is the amazing trailer to Darren Aronofsky new film 'Black Swan'. I've been a fan of his since 'Requeim for a dream' but was disappointed with 'The Fountain' and 'The wrestler' but 'Black Swan' looks like my cup of tea.

I'm a firm believer in the healing power of pets. Research show owning a pet can improve your health by lowering your blood pressure and stress levels. Whether its a cat, dog or hampster, they help people with depression and also give you a life time of unconditional love. I came across this amazing video on cuteoverload, watch Richochet, a prodigy dog in the making and how she ultimately helps people. Have some tissue handy and excuse the cheesy tune.

I love, love, love this show. I've talked about January Jones who plays the ever naive Betty Draper before and I can't wait to see what this season has installed for all the characters. It returns this sunday.

Super exciting! First still and glimpses of Tim Burton's new project - Alice in Wonderland.
How wonderful is this shot with those flowers, very similar to the original animation. And check out Johnny Depp, Helene Boehm-Carter and Anne Hathaway below in their characters. Amazing!

Harry Potter and the half blood prince.

I still remember that faithful night, I was staying at a friends place when she gave me Harry Potter and the philosopher's stone to read. I looked at this kids book and was quite sure I wouldn't enjoy it, I at 20 who thought I was so much more sophisticated than a child's novel.

Now 12 years on I have read every book, been on advance order list for all of its new releases, I have seen every movie and even though they are never as good as the book I still loved seeing it all come alive on film.

Its been a while since the last film has come out but the latest trailer has been released and I think it looks awesome! There are some haters out there, but I say don't go down the hating path the film looks great!

Let the right one in.

Let the right one in is the best vampire movie I've seen in ages. This dark Swedish film follows Oskar, a young and bullied boy who befriends Eli, a young vampire girl - who's arrival is timed with the  disappearance of some of the town's residence.

Beautifully shot and often creepy, their friendship is touching as Oskar comes to depends on the quiet and awkward Eli. I was engrossed all the way through and the boy and I walked away feeling haunted and touched by their love of each other. Watch the trailer here and go and see it. You won't be disappointed.

Where the wile things are.

 
How exciting! Where the wild things are is getting the Spike Jonze treatment and the movie is coming out later this year. The teaser poster look so cool. I can't wait till its out. You can see some movie- stills here and check out the amazing trailer here.
